Morning, folks. Each day we're looking how best to improve Game Comic Daily to make your search for game comics more straightforward. At the same time, we're doing our best to expand our community and we want you to help us do this on one of the world's most popular social networking web sites - i.e. Facebook.
So, offer your support and become a fan of Game Comic Daily on Facebook.
Once again, people, I'd like to draw your attention to our recently updated choice of webcomics. As always, it's up to you to customize the GCD home page any way you see fit, so you can enjoy a regular selection of your favorite comics.
Meanwhile, we are always on the lookout for suggestions as to how we can improve GameComicDaily, which is why we're constantly on the lookout for more sources. Last week, we've incorporated a few new webcomic sites, but we'd also accept any suggestions from you guys so we can expand the choice of gaming comics even more.
Sincerely yours,
Conrad 'Spiffboy' Paulson
Well folks, about our main webcomic feed. We've decided to give it a good and proper once-over. We've refreshed the entire list so to speak, to give you guys the best possible choice of game-related webcomics. As a result, some of the older comic sites such as Press Start to Play and Hookie Dookie Panic are no longer in the main feed. Why? Simply because these sites stopped posting new content a long time ago.
Meanwhile, we're about to incorporated new sources such as Foxtrot, Dotgif and Nerf Now - these will be up later today. Our ambition is to occasionally expand with additional sources that aren't specifically tied to gaming, although they do view the world from the same kind of geekish viewpoint, if you get my drift.
Peace, love and respect
We need a little humor in everything - movies, books, games and yes most definitely in gaming webcomics.
Looking at some of the most popular gaming webcomics, I discovered that no matter how hard some of the illustrators and comic writers try, there are always people out there who continually bitch and moan about how they do not like it.
Granted, some of the comments I've seen tend to offer constructive criticism, albeit other than that it's the usual fanboyish ranting and constant complaining about how the comic is not funny and not remotely creative or... blah, blah, blah.
Geez. Some of these people really need to get a life. I'm not saying all comics are perfect, but you honestly won't get too far in this life if you're not a bit more open-minded.
People should sometimes just take a loooong break from politics, economics and everyday hardships that make their lives a pain. Where can you find the perfect break from all of that?
Well, here obviously ;) On GameComicDaily.
Many of the comics that are generated through our web site give me just the right amount of positive energy to help me get through the day.
There are so many games out there that would make great webcomics and yet so many authors tend to make fun of the gaming industry instead of using it to achieve something greater. Now, understandably enough, a lot (and I do mean A LOT) of games are pure and unrefined crap hardly worthy of our attention let alone being fit to provide inspiration for writers and comic artists.
At the end of the day, I just wish we could see a few of these webcomics turn into something a bit more, well, serious. There's a great deal of talent out there, so why not use it?
My God, I've spent literally hours and days browsing through today's choice of gaming comics and for the life of me, I never realized there were so many. I'm glad we kicked off with GCD when we did and I'm sure you guys can find a little something that suits your tastes.
The ever-expanding gaming community leads to an increasing amount of webcomics. We're delighted to witness so many artists and writers, expressing their talents and thoughts on numerous topics.
It's good to be part of this geekish world of ours :)
For the love of God, I can't believe that Raven Software's shooter Wolfenstein is the only game that's going to hit retailers since... I don't know what. I think Prototype was the last halfway decent game I played.
So, unless you're deep in some WoW dungeon you've already seen a million times before, you must face the fact - there really isn't much to enjoy on the gaming scene right now.
On the plus side, it's Friday and we're looking forward to another weekend
filled with delicious webcomics and gaming... Wait, no gaming. Shit!
The Fall seems so far away!
Today, I'm doing my best to more game webcomics into our database. When I first started searching for game comics, which was some years ago, I was surprised how many were out there. Many of these webcomic artists are still around. It's comforting to know this. Gaming obviously inspires a lot of illustrators and writers and I'm happy to see it's a thriving community. Which brings me to one of the main reasons why we created Game Comic Daily in the first place. We want to be a part of this community as it expands and we wish to offer you the easiest way to enjoy all of your favorite gaming comics through this web site.
So, folks if you have any comments or suggestions on the choice of comics we provide, I'm all ears. Feel free to name any new and hot online comics we might've missed in GCD's current selection.
I'd like to welcome you all to GCD, in the hope that each and every one of you will come across something interesting and humorous today via this web site of ours.
Sincerely yours,
- SpiffBoy
