Being A Gamer Today

There's nothing in this world that pisses me off quite as much as the lack of solid games to play when the weather outside is simply too crappy. I've tried to spend some time with Black Ops (finished that one in a jiffy), Fable 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. But none of those seem to cut it.

Games like Amnesia and DeathSpank are a lot more involving than any of the aforementioned games. At least if feels that way to me.

See you soon.

Remember being a gamer is all about being pissed at the industry for the right reasons.

Fallout: New Vegas

So, they announced a new Fallout game and it won't be done by Bethesda either, but Obsidian - the guys behind games like KotOR 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2. The developer has a history of solid games, although every time they release a game it's like they forget to polish it. Anyhow, I enjoyed Fallout 3, except I always felt the game lacked that special (ha SPECIAL!) vibe of the old "Fallouts."

Here's what they say about this new title, Fallout: New Vegas: "Experience all the sights and sounds of fabulous New Vegas, brought to you by Vault-Tec, America's First Choice in Post Nuclear Simulation. Explore the treacherous wastes of the Great Southwest from the safety and comfort of your very own vault: Meet new people, confront terrifying creatures, and arm yourself with the latest high-tech weaponry as you make a name for yourself on a thrilling new journey across the Mojave wasteland. A word of warning, however - while Vault-Tec engineers have prepared for every contingency, in Vegas, fortunes can change in an instant. Enjoy your stay."

Find out more here (there's a nifty teaser trailer too).
