We've gone through a variety of stages in the ongoing debate between legal purchases and piracy (the ever-gnawing monster some of us are often force to resort to). It's an endless topic to be sure, but I think it's also a topic that's here to stay - for a long, long time too.
After all, people who love in poor parts of the world simply have no choice but to get their hands on pirated games, because games aren't sold in that corner of our planet. It's a point I really support and from some angles, yeah, piracy is justified.
The folks at Extra Credits make several good points on the matter. Check it out.
Good morning, people. I've just been searching for some interesting news throughout the gaming community and I must say this whole disaster with Ubisoft's latest DRM has got me perplexed and worried.
Seriously, there are better ways to protect yourself from piracy than this. The France-based publisher seems to be convinced they are doing a good thing and yet with each day fans are getting increasingly pissed off.
I've enjoyed a lot of games from Ubisoft in the past and for that very reason I am shocked to see them go for such scheme. They should know better.
