Tomorrow I'll be off to check out Avatar in 3D (well, 6D actually). Anyway, it appears most critics liked the movie, so that's a good start for J. Cameron, after twelve years of idleness shall we say. Well, okay, so he wasn't completely idle - that's for sure. He kept himself busy with this "little" flick.
Avatar evidently took a long, long time to make.
We shall see if the wait was worth it.
Still thinking about whether or not I should see Avatar... Meh, why the hell not. At first I was caught in the hype, which still surrounds the movie, but after seeing the 15-minute trailer (in the cinema), I'm just not sure.
From some angles it looks like it was pushed too much towards mainstream American audiences or rather teenage audiences... anywhere really.
In the end, Cameron's movies are usually great fun and technically superb. From what I hear, this one shouldn't be very different. The only thing that bothers me, like I said already, is the slightly teenagery spirit of the flick.
Good day, folks. There's nothing better than enjoying a nice cup of coffee, while reading a little Calvin & Hobbes. I've read them all a 1000 times, but they never get dull.
By the way, the advice of the week is: go and check out James Cameron's Avatar. Of course, I'm talking about the promised and highly-touted 15-min. trailer for the upcoming sci-fi flick.
I'll be giving it a look to be sure.
